A few days ago our family made the three hour drive down south to here Jeremy Gimpel of Tuesday Night Live in Jerusalem give a presentation about “Biblical Destiny, Ancient Prophecy, Modern Israel and the Future of America”. It was a great evening filled with friends, fellowship, food and a wonderful presentation.
I wanted to share the video of this presentation because there is so so so much in this presentation that I want my friends and family to hear. The video is long, but the good thing about videos is that you can pause them and come back to pick up where you left off later. There are two different parts of this presentation and I guarantee that you’ll be very interested in both parts. Hang tight through the introduction and the light-hearted video clip “on the streets” because it just explodes after that. ;)
The first part of the video is about the Israel, it’s destiny and the position Israel finds herself in today. The second part is a portion of a teaching on the book of Ezra that Jeremy Gimpel presented and WOW, you’ll LOVE this. I want to wait to share some of my specific thoughts until you have had a chance to watch the video yourself.
Monday July 25, 2011: Jeremy Gimpel at El Shaddai from El Shaddai Ministries.
In the video he references another teaching that was given on Tuesday Night Live in Jerusalem broadcast that I’ve shared here before about America in the Bible.
I would love to hear your thoughts after viewing the video and have a discussion about it in the comment section. Often I end up with discussions about blog entries taking place in several different locations and it really is easier for me to keep them all in one place, so please share your thoughts in the comment section here. I’m looking forward to seeing what others draw from this presentation.
There is much here that goes along so well with the discussion about those who love Israel and long to dwell among her people.

I continue to get e-mail and FB comments about this entry and the video presentation. Many of the responses are so similar, I wanted to share a few.
Les wrote, “Thank you so much for posting this video. You must have been so EXCITED to hear his message in person. I want to share this message with my family. We’ve known about the scriptures he mentioned, but to have a Jewish rabbi speak about them in reference to the nations is so incredible and heartwarming and motivating! I feel like I want to focus on getting to Israel. I feel like we are spinning our wheels just trying to live. I want our family focus to change.”
Lisa said, “That was very interesting. I’ve not heard of Jews speaking so welcomingly or positively of Gentiles before. I was very encouraged by this and it gave me a lot to think about.”
Barbara wrote, “You are so correct that we are on a count down, they were in Paul’s day too. We don’t know the time, yet, we know the signs and the signs point to eminent. It’s an exciting time. So many are praying (and when two or three–He is there in the midst) so, we can trust and carry-on, on the road G-d is leading us on.”
I just wanted to share their comments because I know that I always enjoy “hearing” what other peoples responses are, I’m sure my readers do too.
I really enjoyed the video. So glad to be able to listen to it finally:)
As I said before it is not easy for me to put my thoughts on “paper” so bear with me. I am earnestly searching answers.
Listening to this and reading about what you wrote on attaching our selves to the Jewish people, the ger word sticks out at me and I have been trying to understand what it means more clearly. I’m trying to understand the meaning of our attaching ourselves to Israel. Are you all saying we must take on the torah to truly say we are on Israel’s side. As I understand in scipture there were those that were converts and those that still clung to the God of Israel that did not convert. I’m just trying to wrap my mind around this. I have been at this for 7 years trying to understand what God would have of our family. We are supporters of Israel but I wouldn’t call us torah believers. We do believe Saturday is the sabbath and still recognize all of God’s hoy days but probably not the same as someone who calls themself a torah observer.
Thanks for sharing all you do. I am really excited that you all will get to help with Hayovel. We were able to meet the Waller’s 3 1/2 years ago and really enjoyed our time with them at Family week and they were able to stay with us and share with our fellowship.
Blessings,
Melanie
Melanie ~ I think you put your words down just fine.
No, our family doesn’t think that one *must* take on all of the Torah’s commands in order to say we are on Israel’s side. I do believe, though, that as time goes on the believing non-Jew will find the beauty in the Torah and strongly consider HaShem’s words and their application to his or her life more and more, and that the believer will find the humility to look to the Jewish people for guidance and direction in how the commands have been understood and applied. There are some specifics in the Prophets that speak of non-Jews who are aligned with Israel keeping Sabbath and so on, but I also believe that this is a decision from the heart that wants to honor HaShem and it comes as the relationship develops rather than a “you must or you’re not one of us” kind of pressure to conform. Not everyone who loves Him will make that switch right away, there is a process and we’re all at various stages of our walk before Him.
I also think that community, one day, will help iron out all of our individual understandings and traditions. For now, many of us are not part of a believing community and that brings a lot of diversity to the “messianic movement”. Some day Messiah will come and set all things straight.
~ Lisa
I agree this is a process and sometimes a longer process for some of us more than others. I long for our Messiah to come and make things right.
One of the things that is hard for me is knowing there are so many lost and do not have a written word at all in there own language. So as much as I want to be in Israel and work among fellow believers restoring Israel my heart also longs for those that have never heard our Father’s name and do not know His son that came to reconsile them to Him. I’m waiting for the Father to show us how to combine the two. I hope what I am saying is making sense.
Anyways thank you for responding and always posting valuable information.
